Thunderclub is the perfect option for players looking to develop their basics and foundational skills with less time commitment than your typical team. Geared toward newer or younger players, Thunderclub is an awesome place to make friends, and develop frisbee skills. The Thunderclub coaches have played at the highest levels of junior, club and pro ultimate and many currently coach our highest level touring teams. It will be a season full of learning and fun, through various drills and scrimmages culminating in the participation of a hat tournament at the end of the season.
Thunderclub will meet every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday this summer.

Lianne Campbell (first): Lianne has been playing ultimate since 2015, starting in high school, and then several years in the Misfit program and VUL leagues. Most recently she played for the McGill women’s team in Montreal, where she is currently going into her 2nd year of mechanical engineering. This is her first year of coaching ultimate, but she is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm. When she is not doing ultimate or school-related activities she enjoys cooking, biking, gardening, and skiing.
Cody Hubbard (second): Cody started coaching soccer in 2010, and fell in love with helping others improve their physical literacy. 8 years later, he is still coaching the same soccer team, and picked up coaching frisbee 5 years ago. Cody started coaching at Argyle for 2 years (2014 & 2015), and transitioned to Handsworth, to establish a new program that he has headed for the last 3 years (2016, 2017, & 2018). He has been a part of Misfit since 2013, and has been coaching through Misfit since 2015 (Uprise 2015, Havoc 2016, Thunder Club 2016, 2017, & 2018). Cody is currently in his 4th year at UBC for Kinesiology, and when he's not playing frisbee, he's either doing something active or studying.
